AixBOMS Cable Management: software for cable management
Physical connection management with AixBOMS
In addition to planning and managing configuration items (CIs) of heterogeneous infrastructures in the field of information and telecommunications technology (ITC), the AixBOMS Cable Management application focuses particularly on physical connection management in accordance with ISO / OSI Layer 1. From classic, structured cabling in the LAN area (primary, secondary, tertiary) to unstructured LANs to complex MAN / WAN structures, you are efficiently supported in planning, administration and control. You determine the depth of the image yourself: from component granular to wire and fiber precise. Various graphical views such as web masks, tree structure analysis, single or mass connection analysis and various drawings are available for a clear presentation in a uniform interface. You can design these yourself using the supplied, user-friendly editors without the use of further graphics programs.
Graphical cabinet views with AixBOMS RackView Editor and 3D view
With the RackView Editor and the 3D Data Center, you get a photo-realistic real-time visualization of your distribution cabinet structures and patch information. RackView determines all graphic elements fully automatically from the CMDB entries and displays them in the distribution cabinet view with front and back according to the respective built-in components, such as splice boxes, switches, routers and patch panels, according to location and occupancy.
Connection analysis
Connection analyzes of the physical connection infrastructure from one or more source ports to destination ports, or between any ports, have become much more complex in their complexity. In the meantime, logical (aggregated or assigned) or virtual ports have to be considered as well as multiplex routes, trunks or routes via route systems. Different dynamic analyzes help to search and graphically identify individual connections, mass connections or entire networks.
